PHILOSOPHY
I believe the work of children is play and they learn best in an active play environment where concepts can be introduced as they relate naturally to what is going on around them. Child care should be a partnership between parent and provider working together to promote the development of the whole child.A mutual respect and good communication are vital to this relationship.
Children need to be surrounded by opportunities for learning. The first five years are critical for brain development and children need the love and consistency of a secure attachment to their caretaker to thrive. By providing the materials and opportunities to them on a daily basis, I strive to instill a love of learning and a joy in the world around them. We do have structured activities and circle time, but we also have plenty of time to create and explore individually and as a group.
